Independent Australian study supports BacoMind® cognition enhancer

BacoMind®, the most scientifically studied extract of Bacopa monnieri has received yet another accolade as the ‘heavy-hitter' of cognition enhancers with a new human clinical trial published this month in Journal of Alternative & Complementary Medicine.  This time, the study was conducted independently and in Australia at School of Human Health Sciences, Southern Cross University, Lismore, NSW (J Altern Complement Med. 2010 Jul;16(7):753-9).

The 12 week study, conducted on 98 healthy Australians aged 55 and over demonstrated the effectiveness of BacoMind® at a dose of 300mg in improvement of verbal learning, memory acquisition and delayed recall.

"We at Natural Remedies are very excited by this new publication, which is the first independent verification of BacoMind®'s efficacy and works to support the multitude of published scientific and human clinical trials already undertaken by Natural Remedies", said Dr. HN Shivaprasad, Head of International Business & Regulatory Affairs at Natural Remedies Private Limited, Bangalore India; the inventors and manufacturers of BacoMind®.

BacoMind® has achieved excellent acceptance throughout the world as the natural healthcare industry's primary combatant to cognitive decline and enhancer of cognitive function.  Human clinical trials published between 2007 and 2009 demonstrate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of BacoMind® at a dose of 450mg per day of the extract.

"This study is a win for the complementary medicine industry in Australia & New Zealand.  It demonstrates that the choice of sponsors in utilising BacoMind® in their finished formulations is a sound one," said Ryan Gorman, Director of Sales at Network Nutrition, the exclusive partner of Natural Remedies in Australia and New Zealand and provider of high quality herbal ingredients and related services to the Australian and New Zealand Complementary Medicine industry, "We applaud the investigators on a great study protocol which delivered convincing and well rounded outcomes.  We're confident this latest publication will offer our customers the support they need in communicating the value of this wonderful ingredient to the end user".

BacoMind®, already market leader in this segment, is expected to receive further positive attention as a result of this latest development.
