RHODIOREAL™ – ORIGINS
Rhodiola rosea starting material used to produce all grades of RhodioReal™ is proudly cultivated in the northern parts of China at high altitude. Plants are required to grow and mature in the ground for 4-5 years’ before they become eligible for collection.
Only through these cultivation programs can we offer assurance to RhodioReal™ users that precious natural resources are not being exploited.
It is then onward to extraction and concentration to make only the finest Rhodiola extracts that bear the RhodioReal™ name.
RHODIOLA ENTRY ONTO THE CITES LIST
In late 2022, in an effort to curb the potential for overexploitation of Rhodiola biomass, Rhodiola rosea was given ascension to the CITES List (Appendix II), taking effect early in 2023.
This means that international trade of any Rhodiola rosea starting material or concentrated extract must be accompanied by the appropriate CITES permits.
Starting material cultivation programs behind RhodioReal™ means that CITES permits can be readily obtained for each production batch and that our trade in Rhodiola rosea is both legal and ethical.
